Tbetween the first and second series we went to have a chat with Wallet phone Suzuki rider Mike Kras. Mike had just won the first series by overtaking factory driver Todd Waters in one of the last laps. Obviously Mike was very happy with this, how happy exactly? You can read that below.

Mike, you're just hitting a factory pilot here, how does that feel?

You mean Todd Waters? He was already behind me during the training sessions, the boss of the team, Kimmi even came to wish me good luck, which was nice. It also felt good to pass him purely on fitness in that first series, because we had the same pace throughout the series and at the end I was able to pass him.

Several drivers have already complained on the track that it is too dangerous. What do you think?

I don't really think the track is great, but I wouldn't call it dangerous. The fact is that by the time the MX1 starts, the track has been completely destroyed, which makes it treacherous. But that means that the speed is low and you can no longer fly over the holes at 160 km/h. It is conditionally a battle.

The second series is coming soon, how are you going to approach it?

I'm going to think about the championship, which I actually did in the first series. I didn't intend to pass Waters, because I knew he wasn't competing for the championship. But when I saw that I could still catch him, I took my chance.

5 points won at De Reuver, feels good, doesn't it?

Yes, certainly, I hope that I can go to Axel with a red plate, that I can also beat Marc in the second series. But that still has to happen, of course.

Ultimately, Mike, the Reuver, was able to knock again. In that last series he finished third and Marc fourth. Mike also went home with a day's victory and a red plate.
