The biggest victim of the fuel drama during the Thai Grand Prix was 24-year-old Tommy Searle. The Englishman had a serious fall during the first series and broke his forearm. Searle was operated on in Thailand on Monday and was able to fly back to England on Thursday. He immediately went to his own doctor to see whether the Thai doctors had done a good job during the procedure. So a metal plate was attached to the left wrist. For the time being, Searle will not be able to ride the motorcycle for six weeks. So he will probably have to miss the matches in Brazil and Italy.

Tommy Searle: “The engine suddenly stopped when I tried to do the triple jump. Many pilots and team had problems with petrol in Thailand, after the last minute ETS canceled all fuel imports by the Thai authorities. My team will now investigate what exactly happened.”
