Eand a perfect but very tough circuit and at times a pleasant sun provided ideal conditions for the opening cross in Lommel. Add to that some super races and you can call this edition a success!

In the MX2 class, the JM Racing Husqvarna duo Febvre – Tonkov got away quickly. Febvre opened a gap and easily rode to victory. Tonkov had a hard crash just after the halfway mark and fell back to twelfth place. Ultimately he was able to return to 6th place. The second place went to Michael Hool, who in turn held off Yentel Martens and Karel Kutsar.

In the second moto another holeshot for the Husqvarna duo, but this time Febvre quickly made a mistake. He only finished 1th after 19 lap and gave chase. After three laps he was already in second place, but catching up with his teammate Tonkov was no longer possible. However, this second place was enough to take the overall victory. Brent van Doninck finished third and Michael Hool fourth.

So in the final score we get Febvre ahead of Tonkov and Michael Hool.

At the Inters Open the fastest start was for Jeremy Delincé, the former winner of the opening cross quickly had to let Shaun Simpson in front. Simpson seemed unthreatened on his way to victory until he crashed a few laps before the end. Delincé took back the lead but soon got the Scot back in his wheel. In the last lap the leaders fell again in their duel and this ensured that Joël Roelants was able to take advantage and take the victory. After a bad start, Roelants was only penultimate at the finish of the first lap. Not a single lap went by where Roelants rode in the same place and so he was able to win in the extreme. Gert Krestinov, who won the Lommel GP in the past, came second and Jeremy Delincé third. Simpson did not get further than twelfth place.

In the second round Roelants showed that he is ready for the first GP. He got off to the best start and never looked back. Shaun Simpson quickly settled into second position but dropped out of the race in the final round. As a result, second place went to Marc de Reuver. Jens Getteman outpaced Krestinov for third place in the very last round and can therefore look back on a successful first test after being out of action for almost a year.

Roelants is the final winner of the 'Dash for Cash' DT1 trophy with the maximum of points. Krestinov finishes second and Jeremy Delincé third.
