Bn every new start of the Supercross season we get someone here and there that you say… he has something to offer. This season we see such a guy at work in the Lites 250SX class. The 18-year-old Cooper Webb who comes from Newport – North Carolina is making quite an impression in his Rookie season.

Cooper Webb, who competes for the Yamalube Star Yamaha Racing team, only turned professional last season. He entered the National of Hangtown. His fifth place in the opening series was certainly something to be proud of. The results varied somewhat throughout the season, but by the end of the Nationals Cooper Webb was there. During the very last National in Lake Elsinore, Webb was the third man on the podium together with Eli Tomac and Ken Roczen. In the final rankings of the Nationals, he finished ninth in his 2013 Rookie season.

This year came his big baptism into the supercross world. As a Rookie he started in the West Coast 250SX series. But Webb also seems to be made of good stuff here. In Anaheim I he finished fifth and in Phoenix he grabbed the holeshot and finished sixth. But in Anaheim II he raised the bar even further, finishing third in the final behind Seely and Anderson. But Jason Anderson was given a penalty and Cooper Webb was put on a second podium place. So he certainly didn't miss his start. Webb also says that he likes Supercross a little more than the Nationals, so we will certainly have to wait and see what this Rookie has in store for us...
