Vele alarming messages were circulating in the motocross world but upon arrival in Mont Saint Guibert we have to conclude that it is not so bad. Where yesterday some people were still talking and others even suggested cancellation, today there is no talk of that at all.

The course is in impeccable condition and in the paddock muddy parts alternate with drier parts. We therefore give a big compliment, a big congratulations and some other compliments to express our appreciation!

Now to the sporty side, where there is nothing more to share in the 'Inters MX1' class than today's victory. This ensures, among other things, the fun extravaganza of Ken De Dycker, who competes on a KTM 250 2-stroke. In addition, Jeremy Van Horebeek will take part on the Kawasaki 250f to prepare for the MXON!

Then the qualifying heat, where we immediately and actually saw another holeshot from Kevin Strijbos! The man from Wuustwezel has excelled in taking holeshots for an entire 'Belgian Masters of MotoX' series. We can actually be brief about the further battle for victories, no one saw 'The Kid' again until the finish.

Behind it, however, it was fortunately a little more exciting due to the Romain Febvre - Shaun Simpson match. The young Frenchman playing for Jacky Martens' team made things very difficult for the Brit. But in the end Romain had to acknowledge his superiority in the MX1 Grand Prix winner of Lierop! The further top five was completed by Ken De Dycker and Cédric Soubeyras. Jeremy Van Horebeek just finished in sixth place.

The first heat was actually a bit more of the same for Kevin Strijbos. The Rockstar Suzuki pilot immediately took the holeshot and in an instant the gap was closed. Behind it we saw some rumbling between Romain Febvre, Ken De Dycker and Shaun Simpson, among others. Ken De Dycker initially seemed to have the upper hand, but the tall Brabander had bad luck and was therefore unable to finish.

As a result, Shaun Simpson suddenly found himself in second position. The Briton squeezed out a few fast laps and briefly gave the illusion of being able to threaten Strijbos. But it continued to create the illusion... Romain Febvre, Petar Petrov and Jeremy Van Horebeek in turn completed the top five.

The second series then and we repeat ourselves about Kevin Strijbos. 'The menneke' on the Suzuki 450f again gave everyone a run for their money at the start! In his wake was 'the kid', Evgeny Bobryshev and a surprising Marvin Vandaele.

Of these three fast starters, Kevin Strijbos held on best because he rode well and without any threat to victory, but interesting things happened after them!

We saw Evgeny Bobryshev and Marvin Vandaele drop back a bit and Shaun Simpson and Jeremy Van Horebeek storm to second and third place. For the 'jerre' this is an excellent preparation and test in the eye of the MXON!

Romain Febvre, who rode excellently today, finished fourth and took the overall podium alongside Kevin Strijbos and Shaun Simpson.
