HThe IceOne Racing team has suffered another setback. Xavier Boog crashed during the Grand Prix of Finland and suffered a knee injury. He will not be in action this season. After Rui Goncalves also suffered a neck injury, this will be another setback for the team of F1 driver and team owner Kimi Raïkkönen.
Xavier Boog had to wait two weeks until the swelling on his knee had disappeared. After visiting doctor Sonnery Cottet at the Lyon clinic this week. The news was not so good for the Frenchman. He will have to walk around with a brace around his knee for the next six weeks. So there is no more talk of driving and the season seems to have ended prematurely for Xavier Boog.
Xavier Bow:"I am of course very disappointed that I can't ride my IceOne 450 KTM for the rest of the season. But I wasn't surprised by the medical decision that came out. I just felt that there was something wrong with my knee and that something was damaged. The doctor Sonnery Cottet, who is a famous knee specialist. He confirmed to me that I don't need surgery. But I have to walk around with a brace for at least six weeks. After that there have to be another six weeks of rehabilitation. My goal now is to fully recover and then work towards 2014."
