Mand a double victory in Germany, Jeffrey Herlings broke a new record. He won the overall victory for the 13th consecutive GP and made history by dethroning 'the legend'. Jordi Tixier came second at the Lausitzring and Glenn Coldenhoff finally climbed onto the podium for the first time in his career.

In the first series, Herlings took the lead from start to finish. Christophe Charlier came second after he was only able to pass Dean Ferris in the closing stages. Ferris ultimately made a mistake and only crossed the finish line in ninth place. Jordi Tixier came third followed by Max Anstie and Glenn Coldenhoff.

In the second moto the best start was for Jordi Tixier. The Frenchman managed to keep a fiercely pushing Herlings behind him for four laps, but ultimately had to let the Dutchman go ahead. There was a duel for second place between Tixier, Coldenhoff and Anstie, but Anstie crashed and ensured that Coldenhoff's third place was enough for the first podium of his career.

Herlings now has a 159 point lead over Tixier in the standings and, if all goes well, will win the title in Loket next weekend.
