VLast year Antonio Cairoli had a total zero score on the circuit of Uddevalle… But this year the little Italian came out with a double series victory and it was also his 60th Grand Prix victory of his career. Besides Cairoli our compatriots Ken De Dijcker and Clement Desalle were also allowed to join us on the podium of the Grand Prix of Sweden…

Antonio Cairoli dominates…
The holeshot in this first series was a narrow one for Max Nagl who just beat Cairoli. But Cairoli immediately took the lead from Nagl. We got Clement Desalle in third place ahead of Van Horebeek and Frossard. In the second round we already lost the Russian Evgeny Bobryshev, he injured his fibula again. Gautier Paulin also made a mistake in the beginning and didn't seem to get into his rhythm. There was a battle for fourth and fifth place with Van Horebeek and De Dijcker. With two laps to go, De Dijcker was in Van Horebeek's wheel. Just before the start of the last lap, De Dijcker started his attack and pushed Van Horebeek to the outside. De Dijcker therefore moved up to fourth place. Antonio Cairoli rode unthreatened to victory in this first series ahead of Max Nagl and Clement Desalle. Kevin Strijbos crossed the finish line in ninth place.

Antonio Cairoli rounds it off nicely…
Antonio Cairoli took the holeshot in this second series ahead of Frossard and Paulin. The Frenchman Paulin immediately passed his compatriot Frossard, but made a mistake a lap later and fell back considerably. Behind Cairoli's back were De Dijcker, Searle and Desalle. Max Nagl missed his start slightly and fell again. Ken De Dijcker drove quietly towards Cairilo and Desalle was fighting with Searle. With fifteen minutes to go Cairoli made a mistake and we gave De Dijcker the lead. With five minutes to go, Cairoli thought it was enough and took the lead back from our compatriot. For second place we had a duel between De Dijcker, Searle and Desalle. Tommy Searle put a lot of pressure on De Dijcker in the last lap, but almost made a mistake himself. Cairoli also won this second series ahead of De Dijcker, Searle, Desalle and Paulin. We got our other compatriots in sixth and seventh place with Van Horebeek and Strijbos.
