In the Italian Maggiora we got the third race of the Women's Motocross World Championship. For the defending champion and current leader in the intermediate standings Chiara Fontanesi it was a real home match in Maggiora. Fontanesi spoiled her home crowd and with two series victories she also took the final victory of the Grand Prix of Italy. In second place we got the German Stephanie Laier and in third place the English Natalie Kane could join us on the podium. The best Dutch was Nancy Van De Ven who achieved a great fifth place in the second series and became seventh in the final standings.
Chiara Fontanesi made it a three out of three and also managed to win all the series. In the intermediate rankings she also has the maximum of points. Australian Meghan Kat Rutledge who is in second place is already 32 points behind leader Fontanesi.
