IIn Tennessee we got Round 3 of the Lucas Oils AMA Motocross Championship. At the Muddy Creek Raceway in Blountville we got for the first time a race for the AMA Nationals. It was immediately a KTM festival in Muddy Creek, in both the 450 and 250 classes KTM walked away with the victory.
In the 450 it was Ryan Dungey who took the win with a third place and a series win. This allowed Ryan Dungey to briefly interrupt Ryan Villopoto's winning streak. Current leader in the standings Villopoto won the first series, but only finished fourth in series two. A third podium place was the final destination for the Kawasaki pilot. Second place went to Justin Barcia who finished second twice.
Our compatriots Clement Desalle and Kevin Strijbos also did well in Muddy Creek. Desalle finished fifth and ninth in the heats and Strijbos in turn was fourteenth and seventh. In the final standings the Suzuki boys were sixth and seventh.

In the 250 class, the win went to Marvin Musquin. The Frenchman took two second places in the heats and that was enough to take his second overall victory in the AMA Nationals. Ken Roczen, who won the first series quite easily, had some problems in the second series and would only be finished fourth. Eli Tomac was the man who could place himself on the podium among the KTM crowd. With a fourth place and the series victory in the second series, Tomac finished second in the final standings. The Red Bull KTM Team therefore took the other two podium places. Marvin Musquin as the victor and current leader in the standings Ken Roczen in third place.
