In Lakewood (Thunder Valley) we got the second race of the Lucas Oils AMA Motocross Championship. Ryan Villopoto came out with a double series win in the 450 class and is now at four out of four after two races. Our compatriots Clement Desalle and Kevin Strijbos finished sixth and ninth in the final standings in Lakewood. In the 250 it was Eli Tomac who took the win ahead of Ken Roczen.

Ryan Villopoto had some work to do in the first race to pass Justin Barcia and Ryan Dungey. But once in the lead he drove to the win in the first race ahead of Dungey and Barcia. In the second race it was back for Ryan Villopoto who took the win ahead of Ryan Dungey and James Stewart.
Our compatriots and also the Rockstar Energy Suzuki World MX1 teammates certainly did not do badly in Thunder Valley. In the first race Clement Desalle rode to a fifth place and Kevin Strijbos was flagged as tenth after a small fall at the start. In the second race Desalle and Strijbos finished in seventh and eighth place.

Ken Roczen came out second in the first race and immediately took the lead. Roczen seemed to have a quiet race, but Eli Tomac did not count on that. Tomac closed the gap to Roczen and so we had an exciting finale at the end of the first race. In the last lap Tomac crashed and so Ken Roczen took the win in the first race. In the second race the roles were reversed and it was Eli Tomac who ruled. Tomac won the second race with a large lead ahead of Zach Osborne and Ken Roczen.
