IIn Losail, Clement Desalle won the historic first race under artificial light. Desalle was ahead of Cairoli and Paulin in the final standings, but on the podium he had to leave the honor to Cairoli to stand on the highest step of the podium.

It was Strijbos who took the holeshot in the first moto and tried to get away. However, with Bobryshev, Desalle and De Dycker on his wheel, he was unable to open a gap and Desalle soon took the lead. He opened a small gap that was sufficient for the series victory. World champion Antonio Cairoli had a bad start and only reached 17th place after a few corners. However, Cairoli fought back strongly and returned to third place. De Dycker finished second and Kevin Strijbos fell back to sixth place. Joel Roelants and Jeremy van Horebeek had a difficult race and finished 15th and 17th. Jens Getteman got off to a good start but soon had to pull over when a stone blocked his brakes and he could no longer continue.

Getteman, just like Kenny Vandueren, who finished 20th in the first round, was referred to the last chance, where the first two MX1 and first two MX2 riders are still allowed to advance to the super final. Getteman took the holeshot in this moto and never relinquished the lead. He won the race ahead of Anstie and Teillet and was able to go to the super final.

In that super final it was Strijbos again who made the best start. However, it didn't take long for Desalle to pass him and take the lead. Cairoli had started a lot better this time and immediately started chasing Desalle. He quickly realized that Cairoli would be difficult to keep up with in this heat and secured second place. Paulin came third and Bobryshev fourth. Strijbos finished sixth again, just ahead of Herlings who was the first MX2 rider. Roelants finished 14th and Jens Getteman, who was completely empty after riding the last chance earlier, finished 37th and scored 3 more points. Jeremy van Horebeek, who still has a lot of problems with his hand, finished 40th.
