DThe 41st edition of the "Cupe de l'Avenir" (Cup of the Future) and the 7th edition of the "Cupe de l'Avenir 85cc" will be held on the Circuit Saint Joseph in Nismes, near Couvin, on 6 and 7 October. As always, the Belgian team can count on a strong delegation for this Young MX of Nations, which is reserved for riders of maximum 21 years old. Damon Graulus, Brent Van Doninck en Yerki January play for Belgium.

In the 85cc, national coach Robert Gielis chose the trio Cyril Genot, Matthias Van Roy en Jordi Van Mieghem.
Robert Gielis about his selection for the Coupe de l'Avenir team: “Due to the injuries of Jens Getteman and Kevin Fors, it was a bit of a search for the ideal composition. Julien Lieber was also certainly on the shortlist, but unfortunately the Coupe de L'avenir did not fit into his schedule. Still, I don't have the slightest doubt about the qualities of our team, I know that they will give it their all! Many people were a bit surprised at Yerki Janvier's selection. That is probably because he did not race internationally this season. As an MX1 rider he has already been in the spotlight. Yerki was still eligible and this year he won the Challenger Trophy.”
