MXMag.be learned from a reliable source in the paddock that Kevin Strijbos is very close to a new stay with the Rockstar Energy Suzuki factory team.
The Wuustwezelnaar previously drove for it from 2003 to 2007 Lommel team. Replaced last year Strijbos the injured person Clément Desalle during the three last GPs of the MX1 World Championship.
Strijbos was undoubtedly one of the trendsetters of the past season and has achieved three podium finishes so far. His win in the second round of the Latvian GP was the first in five years Strijbos.
It is not yet clear how long the 27-year-old Strijbos would be committed to the Suzuki factory team. The likely arrival of Kevin Strijbos to the Rockstar Energy Suzukiteam means that all five Belgian riders who will participate in the World Championship MX1 will be active factory rider status will have.
