Band Townley, the ex-2 MX2004 World Champion, is already back on the bike. BT101 had a heavy fall during training for the second round of the Australian Outdoor Championship in mid-April and dislocated his hip. After his heavy fall, we were able to follow Ben in a previous video after his surgery and the subsequent rehabilitation. Now in this new video we get to see Townley back on the bike in beautiful Auckland, New Zealand. BT101 is back…
Ben Townley : I am looking forward to getting my career back on track. That was the plan for 2012 but an injury has pushed that back a year. It is great to confirm that I will be racing in Australia for the next 12-15 months. I have enjoyed working with the Carlton Dry Honda Thor Racing Team and Honda Australia so it was important for me to continue working with them. My recovery is going really well. Things are progressing well but there is still a long way to go. I feel that I am getting back to the really good form that I had at the beginning of the season. What happened was a very unfortunate thing but I know what I have to do. My focus is now on 2013. I feel the strength and stability back and the confidence, my goal is to try and do the Australian Supercross Championship later this year. I would really like to do a few races towards next year.
