TDuring the qualifying series in Fermo, the first positions were again coloured green today. On the fast circuit, the PC duo Searle and Roelants were supreme. Nicholls had the best start in the qualifying series, but the Kawasakis soon flew around his ears. Searle took the lead and in his wake Roelants followed, who followed Searle's pace nicely. Herlings quickly came to third place after a poor start, but could never really threaten Roelants. Van Horebeek came fourth and fast starter Nicholls finished fifth. Julien Lieber had a good start in eighth place and finished nicely in 11th place.

Things went wrong in the first corner for Fors, Getteman and Brevers. They all fell to the ground and were assigned to chase. Fors returned to 26th place, Getteman to 30th and Brevers crossed the finish line in 35th.

In the MX1 class the fastest start was for Desalle, who wants to put things in order after his fall last week. However, Desalle soon had to let the French duo Pourcel and Paulin go first. These two were already 3s in time training! faster than the rest and again they tried to get away quickly. Desalle made a mistake and fell to 14th place. Third place was now in the hands of Keeno, who even rode towards the leaders. Cairoli also had his fair share of problems. After a mediocre start he also made a mistake, he took a piece of green tape in his wheel and had to stop to remove it. He came through the third lap in 19th place and eventually finished 13th.

At the front, Pourcel and Paulin played leapfrog, they didn't move a meter apart, but in the end Paulin came out on top. Keeno finished third and Bobryshev fourth. Desalle came back to eighth place.

Steven Frossard crashed in the first round and again had pain in his already injured leg. Normally the Frenchman will try to ride in the races tomorrow.
