HIt had been quiet so far in the Elect-Râ BK Enduro, but in Flavion the discussion about the chronos flared up again.
It was cold and windy on Sunday morning in and around Florennes where Flavion's Enduro took place. On the 103 km route, the riders fully experienced the force of the wind. For example, reigning Belgian champion Jean-François Goblet was even briefly expelled. But it wasn't just the wind that worked against the riders, the markings were also not clear at times. Somewhere halfway the paths crossed and the top 6 made a mistake. For example, Jean-François Goblet, Michael Vukcevic, Cédric Melotte, Patrick Caps, Wim Vanderheyden and Charles-Antoine Allegra all drove wrongly. Result in penalty time and not even a little bit. The six may have continued to dominate the specials throughout the rest of the day, but the damage had been done…
The victory in Flavion would go to Jerôme Martiny on the Motosport Lejeune Husqvarna TE 250, although this is subject to change. Due to certain riders getting lost and the long route, the timing went wrong (once again). So we have to wait until the BMB's Enduro working group reaches an agreement before we can speak of a definitive result for Flavion's Enduro. The last word has not yet been said on this matter...
