HThe rumour had been circulating for a few days, but on Thursday it became official: Christophe Pourcel will not be at the start of the Bercy Supercross next weekend.
Christophe Pourcel should have been the absolute crowd puller of the 2011 edition of Europe's most famous Supercross. Unfortunately, the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider will have to postpone his return to the City of Light for at least a year.
Pourcel crashed on October 7 during training in Florida when his chain broke. Pourcel suffered bruises to the chest, back and shoulder. After a prescribed rest period of 10 days, 'Cri Cri' no longer felt able to reach the target level. The Frenchman then decided to refrain from participating in the Parisian classic and to fully concentrate on the 2012 season.
