MWith a double series win, Ryan Villopoto did a great job yesterday at Unadilla, where the 9th round of the AMA Nationals took place. Reigning champion Dungey was second twice, while Justin Barcia did not miss his debut in the 450 class, grabbing the holeshot in the first race and finishing third twice.
In the championship standings, Villopoto leads Dungey by 7 points, Chad Reed lost valuable points in Unadilla. As a result, Reed now follows on 25 points.

Wilson runs out in 250 championship
Canadian Briton Dean Wilson celebrated his selection for Team Great Britain with a resounding double victory. Blake Baggett finished second once and third once. Eli Tomac was third in the final standings thanks to a 5th and a 2nd place. Justin Bogle (Geico-Honda), making his professional debut, made an impression by immediately finishing fifth (6/6) in the final standings. It wasn't a good day for ex-MX2 world champion Tyla Rattray. The South African came back strongly in the first race and finished 3rd, but in the second heat he only finished 36th.
