Regen in the night from Saturday to Sunday threw a spanner in the works for the opening race. The otherwise beautiful circuit was transformed into a mud pool and especially during the first manches it was necessary to watch out. Nevertheless, it soon became clear who the men in form were. Clement Desalle won the MX1 races quite easily and came third in the super final, which was won by Steven Frossard.
