Josh Coppins didn't miss his start in the New Zealand Supercross Championship! Despite the difficult conditions due to the rain, Coppins (2-1-1) had a carefree evening on his CDR-Rockstar-Yamaha. Justin McDonald (Honda) was second (3-2-2), Cody Cooper (4-2-4) rode his Suzuki to a third place.
An old acquaintance also won in the Lites class: Scott Columb. However, Scott had a more difficult time because he suffered a heavy crash during training this week. The second round will take place on January 2 in Taupo.
