Shad Ramon: “Yes, I am certainly satisfied with second place as a team, but I am disappointed with my own race. I had a hard time with the circuit and finding my way here. It was also warm today and the conditions are very different than usual. On the other hand, it was my ninth MX of Nations and I was always on the podium, which is quite satisfying.”

Clement Desalle: “It's exactly my year of second places! I came second in the World Championship and now also second in the Motocross of Nations. We did well as a team, but I might have expected more. I was still bothered by my injury, which is why I look back on this MX of Nations with mixed feelings. This means my performance is on the rise. Last year I was third in the World Championship and in the MX of Nations, so next year we will definitely go for the title!”

Jeremy Van Horebeek: “It's nice to come second and in my third MXoN I'm on the podium again. That's special too. Yesterday was much easier for me. Today I had a lot of trouble with the ligaments on my thumb that I injured during the last GP of the year. I would like to thank everyone in the team, because this second place is really the result of the hard work of all people together, both the drivers, mechanics and the other team members.”

Joel Smets: “The first feeling is one of disappointment. After the good results of Clément, Steve and Jeremy in the races yesterday, we knew there were possibilities. We also came here to play for victory. On the other hand, it is also quite an achievement to come second in a competition of this caliber. We can be proud of that. I would also like to congratulate the American and German teams. The Americans may not have fielded their biggest stars (due to circumstances), but the hard work and humility of the men who won is a credit to them.”
