HThe regular motocross season is coming to an end. Sunday will be Mont Saint Guibert we have completed the last round of the Belgian Championships and in the amateur associations we have reached the finals. It is striking that, in both the Belgian Championship and the amateur associations, the cards have already largely been shuffled. Bee MCLB has already won the title at the Inters MX1 and the Inters B Open. Steve Seronval en Jaimy Deleersnijder are the respective new champions. Only at the Inters MX2 there is still tension, albeit leading Jurgen Wybo the dance with a 23 point lead Torpjurn Van Hoe. So Wybo can come in on Sunday pamel take the MCLB Inters MX2 title, but miss out on a potential podium place in the BK MX2.

At Zarcillo VLM the Intertitles have not yet been completed, but it will probably not change much. Jelle Grade leads it

MX1 championship for fellow countryman Kenny Janssens. With a difference of 51 points, the BeTeMo Yamaha driver to have a serious option on the title. With the Inters MX2 the lead is Jonathan Banks op Marco Briers even  more generous. Bridging a gap of 78 points in four series seems to be very difficult for us. Inters B seems to be the championship leader Jurgen Vervloessem already set for the title.

Jan Lauryssen is almost certain of the title at the Inters MX1 of VBM.

Also with VBM the championships have come to a final conclusion. Jan Lauryssen leads the Inters MX1 for Frederik Daenen. However, Daenen's chances are very small because Lauryssen's lead is no less than 118 points and that with only a maximum of 120 points to earn! At the Inters MX2 it is Marco Stallmann since last weekend he has been assured of the title, just like Dave Van Dun at the Inters B.

At national level, the Belgian MX1 title is still at stake in Mont-Saint-Guibert on Sunday. BK leader Steve Ramon has a lead of 31 points Tanel Leok, but since last week's AMA MX 250 Class final at Pala Raceway, we have learned that you should never sell the bear's skin before it has actually been shot.

In Radson MX2 Trophy we can expect an open battle on Sunday, now reigning champion Nick Trieste won't be there. Nick had anyway made his debut in the Open class in Mont-Saint-Guibert. Who do we expect then? To start with Vincent Collett en Kevin Fors, both are members of the organizing RMC Pierreux. Fors can look forward to press attention from Flanders these days because in the October issue of Motorwereld you can read an interview with the Liège native. But we also expect something from drivers like Damon Graulus, Jens Getteman and Jone's Poppe.

Can Jens Getteman take his second day victory in the BK MX2 on Sunday?

By the way, we expect a lot from the new layout Shank's circuit. In Walloon cross circles the circuit has already been compared to that of Glen Helen. Although we don't dare go that far. But still, this circuit is at least a worthy backdrop for the closing event of the Belgian Championship.

In football, the concept of player/coach has been established for a long time. Since today, this term also seems to be gaining acceptance in the motocross world. It still seemed that way on Tuesday Massimo Bartolini the team manager of the Italian team for the Red Bull MX Of Nations would become. The science is now outdated and it is none other than Antonio Cairolli, who has been appointed by the FMI to fulfill that role. A first step towards a further career as a team manager for Tiger Tony?
