Ook after he already secured the world title in Brazil Tony Cairoli did not slow down at all! Cairoli (2-1) drove a great catch-up race in the first race and dominated the second series. Lierop thus became the eighth GP victory of the season for Tony. Max Nagl (1-4) deservedly came second. Steve Ramon was his consistent self with two third places. Good for his fourth podium of the season even though the Bomb did not feel at his best, partly due to the groin injury he sustained in Brazil. Beursfoon-Suzuki rider Marc De Reuver (8-6) came seventh, Kevin Wouts was a neat 14th in the final standings.

Weather 'der Max'

After yesterday's dress rehearsal, Max Nagl repeated his tour de force on the new 450 with injection. The German took the holeshot and was never threatened! Clément Desalle caused a spectacle at the start with a heavy crash involving Leonce, Priem and Albertson. World champion Cairoli also had to make a comeback when he got into trouble in the first round. However, Cairoli was by far the fastest of the pack and cut like a knife through butter. Ramon lost second place to Cairoli in the final phase. The chasing duo Ramon-Cairoli went crazy, almost completely wiping out Nagl's lead.

LS-Motors Honda's Tanel Leok finished fourth after a consistent race, ahead of Philippaerts and De Dycker. Home favorite De Reuver achieved his best result of the season with eighth place. Desalle – without a number plate after his crash – finished tenth.

MX school Cairoli proposes: sand riding!

The second MX1 series became the race that was not a race. Tony Cairoli got the holeshot and then blew everyone away. Rui Gonçalves completed the fast-starting KTM trio and completed a fantastic series. The Portuguese crossed the finish line in second place with his SX-F 350. Nagl, the winner of series 1, had to slow down a bit this time. Thanks to a fourth place, he became second overall. Steve Ramon came third. Marc De Reuver started in the sub-top, organized his race well to finish sixth.
