Prestige duel Herlings – de Reuver on Keiheuvel?

We hadn't thought about it right away, but on August 15, the best Dutch MX2 and MX1 riders will face each other for the first time during the 4th round of the Belgian Motocross Championship on the Keiheuvel in Balen. An immediate duel that adds a little more pigment to this legendary motocross event. Insiders are already predicting a podium finish for 15-year-old Jeffrey Herlings on the Kempen sand dune. So it remains to be seen to what extent Marc de Reuver is looking to redeem himself after a disappointing GP of Limburg in his hometown of Lommel. De Reuver won the queen stage of the Belgian Championship and the associated "Sylvain Geboers Trophy" in 2008. Herlings is making his debut on the circuit where his father, Peter, won 33 years ago in the Inters 500cc.
