Te much is too much and that is certainly true when you have to perform in extremely hot conditions. Approximately 75% of the energy that the human body uses is used to maintain a normal body temperature. The remaining 25% is used to supply energy to your muscles. In simple terms, this means that during a sports performance in hot conditions, a lot of blood has to be pumped to your skin to cool the body. As a result, there is less blood available for your muscles and your heart has to work harder to perform at top level. By cooling your body, you are therefore less physically burdened and you have more muscle energy available to throw into the battle. In concrete terms, this can result in an improvement of up to 21% for an athlete.

Wim Vanderheyden was also 'spotted' in Tongeren with a HyperKewl vest.

Now that we have explained the why, you will also understand why Techniche's HyperKewl clothing has become very popular in a short time in MotoGP, Superbike, Formula 1 and Motorcross. During the subtropical MX Pro Series race in Tongeren, there were many top riders (such as Steve Ramon in the photo above) who used a hyperkewl vest.

The HyperKewl vest is easy to use: you put it in the water for two to three minutes (!). The vest then provides cooling for five to ten hours. Depending on the circumstances, the vest cools 10° to 15° C compared to the outside air! This technical clothing is also light, durable and washable. The Techniche range includes many other cooling items such as caps, bandanas and so on.

The HyperKewl standard sports vest costs less than 50 Euro, a lot less than the Crystal Cooling vests that cost three times as much...
