Despite a knee injury (bursitis), Marc De Reuver rode a solid qualifying race. He finished 11th. Tanel Leok, the fastest in the pre-qualifying session, had bad luck with his starting gate but was able to limit the damage with a fourteenth place. World champion Cairoli will start tomorrow from thirteenth place. Steve Ramon lost a few more places in the final phase and finished eighth.

Jeffrey Herlings holds off Ken Roczen in MX2 qualifying
After the traditional KTM holeshot, Shaun Simpson this time, Jeffrey Herlings quickly took control. Roczen was able to move from third to second place. The young German put Herlings under pressure and the two drove away from the field. The audience was treated to a beautiful duel between the two young gods, but 'The bullet' ultimately won!
