ODespite the absence of a GP it was a busy mx weekend. In the Benelux we had the first MX Pro Series in Beervelde, in the Netherlands there was the ONK in Varsseveld and in Plomion there was the GP sidecars. However, these were far from the only races on the calendar this weekend. Below you will find all the results of the races this weekend…
In Varsseveld was it ONK Motocross already in its 4th round. No surprises in the MX2 Jeffrey herlings controlled the whole thing. With two series victories, the young Brabander already took an option on the Dutch MX2 title. Joël Roelants, the provisional 2nd in the ONK standings, had to miss the match in Gelderland due to a shoulder injury and thus saw his last hope for the title lost. Dennis Verbruggen and Mike van den Bogaert were allowed to flank Herlings on the podium. Nick Triest finished with the same number of points as van den Bogaert, but missed the podium with a poorer result in the second series. “Quick Nick” did well in the ONK rankings where he is now back in second place.
The other class winners in Varsseveld also recorded two series victories each time. Luca Nijenhuis dominated in the 85cc GRW, Steffi Laier won the Ladies and Kevin Strijbos recorded his first overall victory of this season.
