ORemarkably few Belgians in the 85cc at the ONK in Mill. The talented Brent Van Doninck was there in Chateau Gontier, for the first test of the French Cadet championship. Just like in Valence, Brent was once again a size too strong for the competition. Van Doninck was the best during the qualifications and won all three series. In the first series, he won with a lead of no less than 18 seconds on Thomas Do. In the final round, Van Doninck had to overtake after the leader in front of him got into trouble. Nevertheless, Brent also managed this job. Unfortunately, despite this great performance, he did not score any points for the championship, as the little Chauvinistic French prescribe that one will only be included in the championship after three years with a French license. Thomas Do and Nicolas Barcelo were allowed on stage.

Daymond Martens, tenth in the first series, Yannick Heylen and Stijn Hofman also managed to qualify yesterday.  Here you will find the full results from Chateau Gontier. Next weekend the second Cadet test will be on the calendar in Chateau du Loir.
