Je don't have to have Marc at your side every day as a trainer, like Kevin Strijbos, to be inspired by this Flemish giant. Herremans was a top triathlete until he fell off his bike during training 8 years ago and became paralyzed. With the same drive that characterized him as an athlete, he threw himself into To Walk Again, a foundation that conducts research into spinal cord injuries and offers sports opportunities to young people with disabilities. As an athlete, he still made his dream come true by winning the Ironman in Hawaii in 2006 with the handi-cycle! In doing so, 'Mad Max' followed the American David Bailey, who won the Ironman in 2000. Definitely worth watching this video.
