Eand constant Steve Ramon (3+1) rode today in Hawkstone Park to overall victory in MX1, Suzuki colleague Ken Roczen (1+1) did the same in MX2. The yellow duo thus confirmed the strong impression they left in the other preparatory matches.

In addition to Roczen, there was another absolute trendsetter in England: the lightning-fast Tanel Leok. The Estonian was only called in as a last resort to replace Mike Alessi and Kevin Strijbos, but he did so with gusto. The LS Motors-Honda pilot dominated the first heat, which he won with a lead of more than 42(!) seconds over Marc De Reuver. In the second series, the LS Motors-Honda driver killed himself by braking to death in the wheel of leader Ramon on the last lap. 'The Estonian Express' put the finishing touches on it by winning the combined final MX1/MX2 super final with flying colors for Ken Roczen. The 15-year-old German performed at an exceptional level all day long, which means he is increasingly profiling himself as a candidate world champion!

Verbruggen on a roll

As usual, the lowlanders felt very much at home on the English Old Skool track and De Reuver only missed the final podium due to an careless double in the second series. De Reuver had to abandon the race, but still finished fourth in the super final. In MX2, a strong Dennis Verbruggen (3+2)  climbed onto the podium as runner-up after Roczen. Negaan-JM Racing teammate Roelants finished second in the opening heat, but he did not score again in the second heat. Nick Triest (fifth) and Herjan Brakke also managed to get into the top ten.

The Bomb has rarely been as strong as this preseason.
