Eand a full house tonight in Munich and while yesterday the circuit was still a bit wet, today the conditions were much better. Cole Siebler, the leader in the standings already crashed during training and then gave up. It is therefore very questionable whether the American will be there tomorrow. Fans who came for an American victory didn't have to mourn, however.

In the final there was no problem against the Sturm-Kawasaki rider Kyle Chisholm. James Stewart's former teammate quickly took the lead Florent Richier and rode easily to victory. Richier retained second place. The Americans Jason Thomas, Travis Sewell and Jacob Saylor rounded out the top five. Troy Adams, yesterday's winner, now did not get further than sixth place. The series and semi-finals (won by Heath Voss and Troy Adams) were also worthwhile.

Belgians die in rematch

In his rematch Jurgen Wybo third and just missed out on a place in the semi-finals. Also Yentel martens en Joel Roelants ended up in the same rematch. Roelants finished fifth, Martens sixth. Not only was the racing fast in the Olympiahal, due to the system of very short and explosive series (less than 3 minutes!), there was also very little time to make up for mistakes or to come back after a bad start. This was also experienced by Joël Roelants, who competed in the MX1 class in Munich on his KTM SX250F. The Grobbendonka resident always had a bad start. Nick Kouwenberg was no longer present on the Dutch side last night. The Suzuki rider had hurt his back after a fall.

Went into the SX2 class Jack Brunell two good wins. So tonight it was a double party for Sturm-Kawasaki! The tall Swede Flip Thuresson finished second in the SX2 with two podium finishes. Frenchman Boris Baillard came third. The Czech Petr Vorlicek won the supermoto final, ahead of Michael Herrmann and André Plogmann.

Tomorrow the closing event is on the program and we will find out who will be King, Prince  and owner of the golden handlebar (supermoto) of Munich respectively. Sounds a bit like carnival and that is what it is here with the traditional 'Race Party'. In any case, Chisholm has the best credentials for a party tomorrow evening because he leads the standings in the SX1.
